ok.. i have bilstein struts from my e21, and i was wondering what the length of the rears and fronts are top to bottom, and how wide is the diameter? im gonna try and run these on the e30 their practically new. th\anks!

These are the basic Bilstein strut sizes:
P36 - P = Strut insert, 36 = piston diameter in mm. (OD = 46mm, ID = 40mm)
P30 - P = Strut insert, 30 = piston diameter in mm
Here are some figures ...
Front Struts:
P30-0125 E21 320i sport insert
overall ext. length: 635mm,
length at bump stop: 517mm,
fully compressed: 488mm,
lower housing length: 462mm
P36-0335 E30 325i sport insert
overall ext. length: 597,
length at bump stop: 515,
fully compressed: 450,
lower housing length: 418
Rear Shocks:
B46-0617 Rear E21 Sportcol.
length: 360mm
ext. length: 523mm
