H&R Race spring install ?

The picture below is of H&R Race (Red) M3 Middle and stock 318i left.

When installing the H&R's I see that the top spring hat will not sit down on the spring unless the strut is compressed, which will not happen until I lower the car back down. Do you just align the upper spring perch the best you can, in hopes it will sit down on the spring top properly once the car is on the ground? Am I missing something here?

I just lower it down, it seats itself.

For me at least.

yes, lower the car a corner at a time to make sure it seats proper, but yeah thats how much shorter the race springs are.
