Need a new ball joint- replace control arms? m3 cab? Please guide me to what I need

I need a new driver's ball joint. I figured I'd replace the control arm. From what I have read Lemforder is the way to go. But what arms and what bushings. I have read about 96+ m3 arms, e30 m3 bushings, treehouse bushings and such like that. I have the standard wheels on my 87 325is. What would M3 cab do? What about replacing the stock with "powerflex" parts from bimmer world. I have searched the forum for the past hour and I am still not sure of what I need here. I have the stock suspension. Thanks.

Ok, yes lemforder is the way to go. They're the closest thing to OE and fairly cheap. As far as CABs, go with stock M3 solid offset. Unless its going to see some track time, poly or treehouse arms would just be over doing it. You will be happy with the stock solid offsets. They improve caster for more tire clearance by moving it more toward the back of the car and it also improves higher speed stability. So it sounds like you have your head in the right direction so go at it!!

Yup, e30 m3 bushings, you can get them from a dealer for a reasonable price too.

It actually moves the wheel "forward" on the car not back. And it will also improve "dynamic" camber during turn in as well as high speed stability.
The grilles really distract you from the fact that someone took a sledgehammer to the front end.

I would disagree about the added caster being much help for normal driving.

          AKG urethane CABS FTW!
