i started removing suspension parts from my parts cars today for my e30 restoration, and found a few nice surprises. the vert had the purple springs and the tokiko gas struts. they are like new. i was thinking when i bought the car that the springs were h&r's but they are apparently not. they lower the car an inch or two, which is what i am looking for. anyone have any idea what these are? as i mentioned, they came off a vert and they are going on a newer vert.
the coupe had this set of bilstiens and the drilled rear rotors. i actually had no idea when i bought this car. it had an mtech 1 rear spoiler that i really wanted. originally, i was thinking to take off the spoiler and sell the rest of the car. the bilstiens seem to be in really good shape. I don't have a lot of experience with aftermarket shocks, but the front pair seem stiffer than a 16year old boy on prom night. i guess i am going to try running them on the street, since they came off a street car. I suppose if i don't like the ride, i will switch the fronts with the tokikos. does anyone have any experiece with bilstiens like this?
sorry, i tried to post the photos in the thread, but for some reason, they only came up as attachments. Image file too big? I am not exactly what you would call computer savvy.
