    Strut mounts gone?

How would the car feel if the strut mounts are gone? When I did my suspension 2 years ago, I replaced the shocks/springs/tie rods/control arms and bushings same with the sway bar links. I did not however replace the strut mounts. When I go over small bumps or a speed bump at slow speed, i hear this popping noise up front. Also happens when traveling over bumps. It's been like this for the last 2 months and hasn't gone away.

Could it be my front strut mounts?

    Thanks!

    Do you mean strut bearings?

If so then it sounds like your strut bearings are shot

What control arm bushing are you running? They wouldn't happen to be Treehouse Racing Eyeball Arms would they?

Don't mean to threadjack, but I think i'm having a similar problem. I too have a popping noise under moderate weight transfer (steering at certain speeds). Speed bumps I don't know about as I always creep up and over them. Also, rapid (and I mean f-ing rapid) irregular tire wear, especially toward the outside edges. Strut mounts fuxxored? thx

Sounds like it. If they are worn, they can have an extreme amount of play, especially on lowered/stiffened cars.
