    Bimmerworld Coilover Conversion kits

Are these GC conversion kits? They seem to be priced the same, and come with Eibach springs, but I don't see a brand listed.

Just wondering because I have to order parts from Bimmerworld and get GC coilover converters - it'd be good to save on shipping.

Secondary question - why does bimmerworld ask you if you've got camber plates to accept 2.5" springs and GC doesn't give a shit what you got? BW charges $40 extra if you don't have plates...for some sort of adapter. Do GC's automatically come with this adapter?

Those are Ground Control coilover kits listed, but it is a generic pic.

Um GC does give a shit, but you actually have to order the kit to see the menus that ask the specific questions. This is a way GC can be sure that the customer gets what they ask for.

I don't quite understand that "adapter", but I think they would actually end up being the same price. They should be.

Remember that a lot of these websites are "templates" and can accidentally vary or change, even the "web guy" doen't intend for that to happen. If in doubt, call either place.

Just ordered the coilover conversion kit through GC's site.

The only information I had to input were the shocks I'm using (Bilstein Sports) and desired spring rates. There weren't any rates to choose from however. You can type in any numbers basically.

I input 350f/475r, because I was told from a friend that these are one of the rates they come in. The site doesn't actually list them though. It's a daily driver so I want mild rates. Hopefully those rates exist.

Bimmerworld asks a series of 10 questions. I don't know why GC wouldn't do the same for the same product.

This was the "adapter" I was referring to before. I was just guessing it was an adapter. It doesn't actually say what the $40 is for:

      Option Price
I have front camberplates that accept 2.5" springs $399.99
I am using my stock front upper mounts (add $40) $439.99

Just got a phone call from GC. Apparently fronts come in 375lbs, not 350lbs

they come in 350 and 375, but 375 goes better with Bilsteins because of the bumpstop and the high pressure monotube.

i also sent you a pm

I see. John @ GC said this about the 350lb:
"We recommend going with a 375lbs springs on the front, and also they dont make a 350lbs spring in the length and I.D that we need to use in this kit."

Hmm, I have 350lbs springs on the front with Bilsteins....

Good choice on rates; apparently Sports can't handle springs much stiffer than that.
