    im looking into getting this

what struts and shocks should i go with?

and is this a bad idea in comparision to the 1500-1600 complete set up they have already?

because $400+350 or so for shocks is a lot less than 1500. Any info would be appriciated. I am new to the whole e30 thing, but not to the suspension thing. Just not sure what direction to go exactly.

and i tried to i promise

to be slammed on the floor destroying road reflectors at will and of course to be hated by all the auto crossers, and track go'ers :)

I believe many people use Koni shocks/struts with those. The dampening adjustability contributes greatly to the height adjustability. IIRC a complete set will run anywhere from $5-600

You would have to get shorter struts I think and have to cut and reweld your strut housings.

Then stock. You have to cut and reweld your strut housings to get that low. O and you will need a skid plate too.

No not the shocks the strut housings aka they hold the strut tubes. You will have to buy alot of oil pans then if you dont believe in skid plates.

Even with those coilovers you still aren't gonna get your car to kiss the ground like that VW. Search for people with GC coils and they'll have pics with them all the way down. Do they have to be adjustable or are you just going that route to get the car low?

                      Here's your how to.
