    H&R springs

So is there a diferent part# for H&R. I am asuming that one is a sport and the other is a race?

    H&R Sport-------------------------180------------------------380
    or
    H&R Sport (29664)---------------200------------------------285

One is an OE sport spring, the other is slightly lower.

H&R Race are a totally different spring, and much more expensive than those.

^^ Scan down until you find the different e30 models. This will give you a general idea on the drop of each set of springs front and rear and their respective part numbers. The race springs are ONLY listed under the e30 M3 section...

So I had Eibach prow kit in the past thought it was a good kit. I am going to be doing more autoX's and want a stiffer spring but cant aford coilovers. I was thinking IE stage3's or H&R race. What do you guys think I should go with.

          Either/Or...

I have H&R Races and really like them.

Seems the IEIII's have had good reviews from most people as well.

the part number for the race springs are different than the sport springs. but other than that, you will notice a drastic difference in the overall height of the spring. its much shorter than the sport spring and it is a night and day difference from H&R race and stock springs. and the H&R race springs are RED.

                Not always I thought.
My H&R sport springs (#29663) are red in color too.

The springs should have the part # stamped on it (unless it has been painted over or is dirty). Clean the springs really well and cross reference the numbers on them.

                  Race springs # 50404-88

For any others part #'s check the link I posted in post #3 above...

I am looking to buy a set. But I have to be shure they are race springs. The kid claims they are race springs but cant get a # off the springs, the springs are red.
