    Upper strut mount

    Yes, I searched but to no avail.

    I'm installing new upper strut mounts with my recently purchased springs.

    The new BOGE strut mount bearings seem to be a little noisy/notchy/sticky.
    They are bone dry right out of the box.

    Please correct me if I'm wrong on this.
    I'm assuming that I need to apply average run of the mill bearing grease before installation.

      This is what I think are the best greases, in order:

      Stalube boat trailer wheel bearing grease.
      Lucas "Red n tacky" wheel bearing grease
      any disc brake wheel bearing grease
      Phil Wood Bicycle grease

      Before you grease them up, clean them out first with carb cleaner to get the manufacturing dirt out.

      Grease A LOT.

      wipe up extra

      don't forget to install dust shield/cup washer/spacer between bearing and spring perch

          I used the Lucas stuff. Worked great, but the mounts were only in the car for a few thousand miles. One issue I had was that the upper dust caps (the plastic things) didn't fit. I had to notch them to get them to fit.
