Found this when I was looking for more stuff to buy. Just sold some more of my old stuff :D

I'm unsure whether I should upgrade my sways. I'm running fairly stiff GC coilovers with a stock front sway using M3 links and no rear sway. I had some understeer at the limit, but it feels like the camber plates have taken care of that. No rear sway helped traction issues quite a bit.

I know RD makes a kit too, are there any else out there? From a glance at the pictures it looks the UUC kit offers a bit more, but is around $60.00 more.

If you've got understeer at the limit, under neutral throttle, and your camber is good, you need less front or more rear bar. Try the small 12mm stock rear bar with stock links. It's just enough.

I'm on GC track stuff with stock bars (M3-style solid front links, stock rears) and I find the car to be exceptionally neutral, predictable, and malleable at the limit.

^^ I've had similar experience. Summit has 26/19 solid bars for the e30. I can't understand why you need that. The only difference between you and me is that I have a cabrio front and M3 rear bar and no M3 tabs, but most of what I do is autox anyway.

What spring rates are you running?

Ahhhh, MUCH stiffer than I'm running or plan to run.

I'm at 350/500 now, and haven't decided how high I want to go.

If you really wanted to science it out, find out what wheel rates guys with neutral cars are running, their car's weight and distribution, and do the math to calculate your required sway bar sizes.

After talking with Jay at GC, I decided to go with sorta conservative springrates to save tires on hot tracks out here in AZ. It's firm, but I do feel the inkling for a little more spring when I get real aggressive. That won't happen until I have a full cage, though. I'll only twist the car so hard. Yet.

Well I decided to go for it, I have a set of these on order. They should be shipped sometime next week. Although I won't get able to test them out until the 24v swap is running in a few months.

I'm going to try a bit different philosophy and will probably be flamed for it. Stepping up from the Eibach bars (20/16) to these (22/19), I'm going to see if I can use the stiffer swaybars to help keep the spring rates down since I still drive the car on the street.

So we will see how it works.

dont expect not to take a major comfort hit with large swaybars. they are almost just as bad as stiffer springs especially when coupled with good links. they are only more forgiving on expansion joints (or similar bumps).

Yeah you still get the roll stiffness from swaybars obviously so preturbations of a single wheel will rock the car side-to-side more violently, but you won't notice a difference with anything that hits both wheels at once--speed bumps, expansion joints, pedestrians etc.

I just picked up a cabrio front bar with all the dressings at a junkyard for $85, decent price. Should be interesting seeing as my current "i" swaybar (what's the size of a stock 325i front bar?) isn't connected to the subframe..

Hmmmm tempted to get these now too. I had their sways before on my e46 and LOVED it. :)
