    Thought I would post this up here in case it helps anyone out in the future. I tried to compile as much info as I could get on some of the various strut and shock options discussed here and elsewhere. The info is not complete but it is at least a start.

    I wanted to add some of the findings I was able to get from Koni. This might help anyone who is doing their own swap with fitting some of the different struts or comparing damping numbers for the ones I listed. These are all for the front.


    8641 1021Sport (E30 325i)
    Tested at .33m/sec
    Compresion –500N
    Rebound –870N (rebound doubles at full firm setting)
    Tested at .13m/sec
    Compression –320N
    Rebound –550N (rebound doubles at full firm setting)

    MinL – 485mm
    MaxL – 641mm
    BodyL – 432mm
    Body OD – 45.5mm

    8641 1144Sport (E30 325iX)
    Tested at .33m/sec
    Compresion –500N
    Rebound –600N (rebound doubles at full firm setting)
    Tested at .13m/sec
    Compression –320N ​
    Rebound –300N (rebound doubles at full firm setting)
