    Quick question

so I decided I'm going with Billy sports and A, B or C...

    A. H&R Race
    B. IE3
    C. Vogtland

I really want H&R so I was wondering what's the best place/cheapest place to buy each of these springs?? I heard of CARR before and PureMotorsport. Any other. Also does CARR have a store or is it eBay only?

    Thanks.

    (A) and (B) are essentially the same.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Your question should still stand for anyone else, but i wanted to comment from personal experience, that Billsteins and Koni SA's are under damped for IE3/HR Race ratings. This is coming from someone who is picky about ride quality though.

Thank you for the comment. What kind of shock/strut are you running/do you recommend?

Still on Koni's installed two years ago.
truthfully, I dont know what to install next. I've thought about having them re-valved but then again, i'm considering dropping large money on real shocks too.

these arent horrid, i just dont like bouncing on highways. i feel like a ricer on cut springs.

Consider buying H&R cupkit... it's H&R sports and their own valved shocks (Sachs). Awesome combination, great ride quality.

Do you have experience with it? I've never heard anything about it, good or bad.

theres a pretty big difference between the H&Rs and Vogtland springs.

Go with Vogtland! They would be my 1st choice for a daily driver because they have lower spring rates than the other two.

I read it somewhere on here, I don't have the determination to search for it right now.

People were saying the way the springs were engineered they were too soft for how low the car becomes.

H&R are probably the best springs made.

IE has theirs made I think by H&R (Could be Eibach though) but from what I understand they go cheap and have them cold coiled rather than temper them.

                            Vogtland, I just don't know.

IEs are made by Eibach. Supposed to be made to the same rate as the H&R Races though.

Couldn't tell you anything about Vogtland.

IEs are cheaper. But H&R Races can be resold to Spec E30 racers. I went with IE because I'm setting this car up as cheaply as possible (college student here) and the car will see very few miles, so if there are any quality issues it will take a long time to accumulate the miles that those issues would show up. YMMV.

Some have had zero complaints about IE's quality. It's all relative. Personally I could care less either way as just about anything was better than the stock 4x4 suspension!
