    Koni SRT.T strut washer

I'm glad i got passed the dreaded strut collar as i have the smooth collar that requires the $90 pin socket. But I'm stuck here. Why can't i use the old washer that sits above the bearing and below the nut? The ID is just slightly too small.

Would have been nice to know the Koni strut uses a 22mm nut as well, ECS didn't specify.. I wouldn't have ordered the 19mm schwaben tool but that's a separate issue.

Edit: I found out that the washer is an M12. I also found out the original washer was slightly out of round. So I Bought a few new M12 and M14s just in case. Turns out you need the M14s. The new M12 didn't fit either. These are the Koni Orange by the way

Edit again: I found this thread: https://www.r3vlimited.com/board/for...ore-installing

    Helped a bit.

Anyone notice issue with the Sachs strut mount. One of my wobbles. they're both installed the same way (large washer, hat, mount, M14, 22mm strut nut) and torqued to spec. I made a couple videos to show off the defective one.

Clearly one of the new ones was made poorly or suffered an immediate separation. Replace it and you'll be fine.If your washer does not quite fit just alter it so that it does, should be easy enough.

Just be sure that you have your stack of parts arranged properly. http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/E3...taching_parts/

thanks for the diagram! Great resource. I've contacted the seller of the strut mount. I'll get a new one somehow.

Thanks everyone for the help and insight. Here it is back on the ground!

found a set of sport seats in the middle of this project. Installed those and went for a ride. That, plus the z3 rack this thing is fun :)
