Returning member with a new purchase and ?'s

    Gents,

I just picked up this e30 off BFC.

    E30 S50 Supercharged 401whp - Bimmerforums - The Ultimate BMW Forum

I am getting it shipped Va Beach and before I return from Iraq (August) I will be having my buddy (DTPracing.com) install a thicker headgasket, cams, smaller pulley, larger injector and throttle body and a new tune from Nick G. I am hoping to get 450-500whp out of it and it will be my daily driver.

That said, I love the sleeper look but I am going to need a bit more function. I have been reading up on wheels, offest and tires on here and BFC. I still have some questions... I do plan on lowering the car a bit, maybe coils but I am not sure yet, a mentioned it will be my daily driver so I wan it to ride nice. I do plan on rolling the fenders and i want to run a stagered set up. After reading I am thinking about 16x9's in the rear and 16x7's up front. I am also plan on running drag radials out back. Ideally I would like to run 255's but I am not sure.

I would love to hear some comments and feedback.

    Thanks,

    Ryan

P.S. I do not like the stretch look!

Nice car, be safe over there.

If it was me I'd keep the RM's on it and just put wider lips on them front and rear. you can order aftermarket lips to make them 15x8 in front and 15x9 in the rear and they'd be extremely tasty.

You got that for a good price considering what is on it.

            500 hp, drag radials, DD?
            Sounds like a plan!

I would recommend coil-overs to you. If you don't you start getting really stiff to get as low as it sounds like you'd like to go.

Dude your the man! I had no idea that was possible... Do you have a link or? The lips will effectively change the offset correct?

What offset can I or should I run? I like the staggered look and I am trying to fit as much tire as possible in the rear.

I will be driving from the Virginia Beach to DC Monday mornings and from DC to VB Thursday evening. It should be around 600 miles per week, with 450 of them being all hwy.

                Thanks for all the support!

Yes, adding lip will increase the offset. I'd do 15x8 all around, 9 if you wanna go big or go home. :)

i am thinking about the 3" lip on the back and a 2" lip up front.

the thread you sent say widest tire is a 215. I was think like a 225/235.. any ideas or suggestions?

does anyone have pics of these wheels with a 3" lip on an e30?

                    Thanks

                        search in member rides.

on a 15x8 you can run 245 wide tires, but i am not familiar with the 15 inch tires available in that width.
