    Kopi questions

Hello , I just scored 5 Kopi's today for $280 off Craigslist (300 asking price).I guess they are the older style without the 5 lug center. 1 is pretty mint, 3 have minor scuffs that i can live with and 1 has a bit of rash that will be great for the spare. 4 came with 215/55 yoko's and 1 with a 225/45 conti so the tires have to go.Tires are in decent shape but they are HUGE.The guy swears he had the 225/45's on all 4's with no problems but the 55's dented his fender.....ya think! I'm going to try the 225 on the back for chits to see how tight it is. All 5 caps were there but only 3 of the hub centering rings. Does anyone know who has the black delrin centering rings for sale? Are they worth a crap? Are there some better aluminum ones.

    Thanks
    Glen

Discount Tire Direct sells the aluminum rings for dirt cheap.

My car had 225/45/17s on back for awhile when I first got my Works, it looked retarded though since the front had 215/40s.

    Mad rake son.

55's will rub even if you're slightly lowered, esp. if they're 215s.

Super nice deal on these, though.

Thanks. I tried the 225. Yes WAY too big and it's not even lowered yet. Too bad i have a set of brand new Yoko sports in the shed from my old E36. I will buy some 215/40 Dulop Star Spec's and see if i can give these used tires away to someone in need. I guess 235/40's won't work on the back either will they? I just love the staggered look but if it has to be 215/40's all round then so be it.

Mine came with 225/45 all around and it was pretty flush in the front. it also rubbed the inside of the front fenderwells. I have 215/40 now but they look like rubber bands

You didn't have any issues in the back? Was it lowered? If so i will go that route. I will be getting the H&R sports and Bil sports and will check with this tire/rim first before i get them just to make sure. I'll order the 215/40 fronts now though.
I wasn't a big fan of these rims back when they came out but they sure do grow on you.

                  Stock size 195/65-14 = 23.98" overall diameter

                  215/40-17 = 23.77" overall diameter

                  235/40-17 = 24.40" overall diameter

                  225/45-17 = 24.97" overall diameter

You want to be as close to say 24" (stock 14" size) overall as you can get

wheels look good and even better once you get the correct tire size on it. Killer deal on the wheels as well...
