Maximum wheel / tire size without rubbing?

What is the maximum Wheel/Tire width without rolling fenders (for both the front and rear)? What is the max with rolling fenders?

edit: i also searched, but it is hard to look at a thread with 2000+ replies :)

    Thanks all,
    Aurash

There are to many variables to answer that vague question. Depends on wheel offsets, suspension setup etc etc...

I was thinking of running the ground control complete coilover kit with smaller spring perches, and shortened front strut housings. I really wanted to know what the maximum width I could fit in without rubbing would be with that setup -- sorry for not being more clear :D.

Would I be able to fit 16x8.5's all around?

Still depends on your ride height. Using coilovers doesn't tell us how low you will be...

Of course this wheel size will fit. It depends on the offset and tire size.

There are so many variables, nobody can tell you the "widest tire without rolling".

if you want to go that wide, you will probably need to roll your fenders.

well then, how about... what is the widest tire i can run without issues on the stock suspension. basically i need new wheels, and i want to know what i can order reasonably without issues. if you have any known sizes that fit certain setups please let me know. :)

225 is easy. 235+ requires concentration.
