Yokohama S.drive or Kumho Ecsta ASX?

Who has personal reviews on these? I'm looking to get some new front tires downsizing from 225 to 205.

Also would it hurt to rub two different set of tires for front and back?

I had the yokos, they suck ass in the rain. I've heard the Kumhos weren't to be the greatest.

I got some nitto neogens and I'm really happy with them, they're specifically designed for lowered cars with more negative camber.

Driven both, and they're both quite bad in the wet. What size are you looking for?

ASX's aren't bad for the price. I've owned a few sets and was pleased.

i believe the car makes the diffrence i had the asx on my rx7 and they were one of the worst tires ive ever had they barely lasted a season and tirerack rated them very high but i have a friend who had them and they lasted a long time they still arent fantastic in the rain and are terrible on ice with a light car

I'm very happy with my s.drives on the M42. They don't have as much traction as I expected in the wet, but they are very good in the dry and seem to be holding up well with all of the autocrossing I do.

                205/50-15.

What are some good performance tires that also does descent in the rain guys? I could care less about snow, but Seattle get's about 8-9 months of rain spread out. Not heavy, but just spread out. Other stuff you guys recommend?

I had the gforce sports. They were very good tires till a few thousand miles before they got to the wear bars. They got so loud that I mistakenly replaced a rear wheel bearing. Besides that, they were good tires. Not the stiffest sidewall, but not crazy soft.

I now have the Falken FK-452. They aren't quite as good as the gforce sports (still a good tire), but are an overall quieter and better riding tire. If you don't care about that, then there yah go.

There are a lot of other higher-performance tires avaliable in 205/50/15 fwiw. they will be a bit pricier and wear faster though. What are you looking for as far as price and wear go?

Right now price I'm unsure. What were you thinking? List a few and I'll go check them out and see from there.

I have over 20k miles on my ASX. I'm not completely satisfied with them, but for what I paid, they'll suffice.

A lot of my favored wet tires don't come in that size anymore. Weird.
