Recommend me a good tire for my euroweaves :)

Ignore my last post a while ago, but I honestly want some good suggestions.

I'm looking to get some 205/50-15.

I don't know what to get for my e30. I want great traction, but also something that handles well in the rain since we are wet most of the year. I'm running the BGF g-Force Sports right now and they're ok. I'd like something better than them. :)

One of our local region champs loves the Star Specs in the wet, but I don't think those are available in your size.

I run Dunlop Direzza that size on my e30. I was a lil worried about rain performance when I bought them, but have been pleasantly surprised.

Edit: Also, gripped better in the rain than my 195/65 r14 bridgestone potenza's

I've run Direzzas.. and now I run Michelin Pilot Preceedas in 205-50-15.

The wet braking and general grip in the wet is maybe 20-30% better, it feels safe unlike the dunlop. The dry handling is the same if not better. And Direzzas wear out so fast for what they are, I'm getting amazing mileage on the Pilots, so far no wear signs after 8000km.

FYI the 205/50/15 will be about an inch too short on your car. This will probably make your speedodometer be off a little bit. To run a 50s serious you need to go to a 225/50/15. A tenth of an inch or so won't make a difference but nine tenths of an inch will. To maintain the correct overall diameter with a 205mm tire you need to run a 205/55/15. I just thought you might be interested in knowing this info.

195/65/14 = 23.980ins. (Stock Size Tire)
205/50/15 = 23.071ins.
205/55/15 = 23.877ins.
225/50/15 = 23.858ins.


I am interested in reading the answers people have to your question. Fortunately in Texas we don't have your problems with the rain most of the time though.

I was thinking about Falken Ziex 912s. Same EXACT question that optimus has... we live in the same rainy area but want that same performance. :(
