    Wheel offsets?

Would a wheel with an offset of 42mm fit our cars? or what size spacer would be ideal for this offset?

Do you know how offset works?

What's the width of the wheel? Diameter also. You'll need spacers anyway.

No I don't really know about wheel offset. The wheel is a 17x7. how does wheels offset work?

You would want something around 22mm offset for that. You would need a 20mm spacer for that wheel.

yeah 20mm would be the right size, plus longer wheel bolts

It completely depends on what tire width you want to run. On an non-m3 e30, if you're doing 225s, you need at least 27mm of offset, 215s: at least 32mm of offset, 205s: at least 37mm of offset. See where I'm going with that? The offset of a wheel determines how far from the center of the wheel the inner edge of the hub is. More offset= wheel and tire are more "tucked in to the fender and closer to the strut. Less offset= wheel and tire are pushed away from the car.
