Have you read the title of your post?

"'Why in the F is it so hard to find nice-looking 15s in 4x100?"

Pretty harsh introduction for a small count of posts, and using the F word in the thread title... Hmmm... And ranting, and comparing the e30 to previously owned asian cars. It could have started better.

But hey, thanks for comparing me to sub scum on r3v. That is quite an accomplishment here as "locals" are working very hard to get there. And to be honest, I have been to the Blunt Academy and got a master degree in scumiology, with mention from my guru.

Well you did state in your original post that you were ranting ....ranting is another word for bitching.

I don't know what you want from us, we all know what you are facing.
You just need to deal with it and any post ranting/bitching/whining/crying about it on our site is going to be full of the type of replies that you are already getting.

You seem to be capable of searching the right avenues for what you seek so why make a crybaby thread about it here and get butthurt when we tell you to STFU and deal with it ??

low supply + high demand = high pricing

that being said i bought my 16" MM Cellos for $120 a piece brand new from tire rack 6 years ago
What is so hard to understand here? All that I said was that I was SURPRISED at how hard they are to find. I never bitched that they were too expensive.

I would strongly suspect that if you saw me in person, you'd not call me a bitch. But then again, its pretty easy for you to say that from behind a keyboard.

...and on a slightly related note, I did grab some 14" Weaves with tires to use as daily-drivers. $175.

So basically, start a new post and write something like that: "Hi guys, I am new to the e30 community and would like to know what's available in term of used 15" wheels that fit our car, under $200 per set"... That would have helped your search.
I did search. I searched on forums where it is common to find 4x100 wheels, and I searched here and bimmerforums. I have had difficutly finding exactly what you listed: a 15x7 or x8 wheelset with the proper centerbore and offset at a price that is similar to what I was able to find for past vehicles. Note that what I have been looking for is not "cheap" (as you characterized them) in terms of quility or reputation. But the fact remains that what I was able to find (BBS, Mille Miglia) for other cars is not available in proper fittament at a similar price.

Are there wheels that (properly) fit the E30 available in that price? Yes.
Are there wheels of that quality that (properly) fit the E30? Yes.
Are there wheels of that quality and price that (properly) fit the E30? Rarely.

All that I was saying in my first post is that it is harder than I had anticipated to find wheels similar to what I had found in the past, in the proper fittament, at a similar price to what I had paid in the past. Nothing more; nothing less.

YOU came in and bashed me for putting cheap wheels on cheap cars. I think that my choices in wheels in the past would stand up pretty well in an E30 community. Whether or not people like an I30t, Maxima, or SpecV, the wheels that I had fit right in with what many E30 owners seem to like.

So how do I think that I look to either community? Probably just fine.

You are the one who made the assanine assumption that because I have owned and driven Japanese cars that I was running cheap cheesey chrome knockoffs. Turns out that you basically called BBS and Milles "cheap." And you came across as a snobbish, pretentious ass in doing so.

Thanks for making the REST of this community look better by comparison.

I have been trolling there like CRAZY!

Sometimes, it is a battle to get offsets out of some of those guys.

If they are so cheap, why do do many BMWs run them?

"Cheap" parts on my cheap Asian cars:

    Stock Infiniti I30t BBS:

    I30t on 16" Mille Miglia MM-11s:

    2000 Maxima on 17" Mille Miglia MM-11s:

15" BBS Mesh (sourced from an Infiniti Q45a dealer option package):

    And on the car:

    Custom-drilled and bored BBS RK:

    And on the car:

Comparing cheap parts available for cheap Asian cars with BMW stuff is worthless.
While I appreciate your suggestions, your condescending tone about my past vehicles and/or their parts is exactly what makes snobbish owners such as yourself look like a prick.

My Infiniti (I30t) ran 15" BBS mesh 15"s, from the factory. I replaced them with wider BBS mesh 15"s for under $200 (eBay). Both of my Maximas ran Mille Miglia MM-11 wheels, one in 16" and one in 17" at a cost of $225 and $300, respectively. My SpecV had a set of one-off 17" BBS RKs with a custom centerbore and bolt pattern. I paid $250 for them on a 240sx site.

Again, while I appreciate your suggestions, your tone just reflects poorly on the BMW community.
