    Offset

Hey guys. I just got this car and it has a 5 lug conversion. Now i think they are from an e36 im not to sure. And neither was the guy i bought the car from. I know the lug pattern is 5x120. I was wondering what would be the maximum offset i could get on a 16 without rubbing?

Thanks a lot for the help!

Depends on which conversion you're running.

E36 five lug stuff requires high offset wheels (which those style 68's are) so unless you have some rather large (i.e. 20mm) spacers, then you're most likely running e36 stuff and not e30 m3 stuff.

gooch is right. unless you have some fatty spacers, then you have the e36 setup. ideally, the offset of any wheel you put on there should be really close to ET40, but I am running ET23 wheels on my e36 setup.

            Thanks guys!

            Well there are no spacers.
So what would be an ideal poke offset. That would not rub?

            et 10 ?
            et 20 ?

Sell the car to me, and dont worry about it :)

Honestly. Check the offset on your current wheels. I have no idea what "poke" means, but you should have decent fitment with a higher offset. I would say 35-45mm.
