What wheels should 1552 make next?

After more than half a year of trials and tribulations, we're happy to release pictures of the first design in what we hope to be many as part of our retro-modern line of wheels. Simply put, RML (Retro-Modern Line) is a concept built around classic OE wheel designs from the '70s, '80s and '90s that we intend to offer in plus sizes.

First up is VW's seminal "Snowflake," originally offered in either 13x6 or 14x6 sizes. We've stayed true to the original design, while offering it in a 15x8 size. Though only an inch bigger in diameter compared to the original, that extra inch allows sufficient clearance for a more modern 11" front brake set-up, and the extra width allows for a more contemporary "stance" (yeah, I used the s-word), or extra tire.

As posted above, we hope to add more designs and flesh out a full line of retro-mod wheels designs. Below you see a picture of the RML Snows on an E30 325i, and while we think they look pretty good, we're posting the pic to demonstrate we intend not to limit ourselves to only VAG applications.

For BMW applications we're thinking of an RML "Bottlecap," also in a 15x8 size (14x6 in OE form). What does R3vlimited think?

Any other classic OE wheel designs you think would translate well to our RML concept and would sell in volume?

    TIA :)

i like the snowflakes a lot.

honestly, i think people would rather see a 15x8 weave than a 15x8 bottlecap. OR a 15x8 alpina replica. the only alpina reps that are 15's are 15x6.5 which sucks.

Not a fan of the bottlecap to be honest. I want to get rid of them, certainly wouldn't pay money to make their horror even larger :D. 15x8 weave that could fit a bbk would be sexy.. Seems like most wheels in that size that fit a bbk are more newage looking wheels, I want something retro.

          Just my 2 cents.

A 16x8 weave, PLEASE. Ronal already makes a 15x8 weave, someone needs to do a 4 lug 16" weave. NO ONE makes one, and it's all I want. I would buy a set in a heartbeat.

That would be sex. I would kill for M systems with a 4 lug app. Probably not enough demand for them though.

Yeah I need some 16's in my collection of wheels. Also they have a decent size selection for 16x8 wheels for the tires I am looking at.

I'd definately think 16x8 4x100 weaves would be 1000x better than a 15x8 bottle cap. You would sell vast amounts of them.

                          17 x 8.5" or 17 x 9" 4-lug BBS CH copy.

Those wheels have nearly made me start collecting 5 lug parts.

How much are you looking at pricing wise for a 15x8 wheel? Nevermind, looks like about $2xx per wheel from your link, and 30 offset?
