    ASA AR2 17x9 for my e30 turbo

    Hi guys,

I'm looking to buy the ASA AR2 rims for y car, since I need wider tires.

I have a e30 325is with e36 5 lug swapp, therefore, I need high ET rims so it won't stick out that bad from the fenders. MR 325 told me he was ruing 17x9 AR2 int he same car/supension combo as me but his ET was arround 45.

I'm in doubt what get for my e30, I need wide tires on the back, therefore I was thinking to throw 17x9 at the back and 17x8 at the front, but since Mat is runing 17x9 also in the front I might go this route as well, but I'm not sure if the tires will rub, using something like 235/40 or 245/40.

The only offset I have seen for the AR2 in the high side are ET35 and ET40. A 17x9 AR2 with et35 has wider lip than the et40? The lip is something quite important for me as part of the look.

    Thanks

    -Diego

PS:Anyone knows the prices for these rims?

well, for what its worth, you can fit 245 wide tires on a 17x8. you don't really need the 17x9 even though it would probably look cooler. other than that i don't have much of an opinion other than that i like the wheels.

I don0't know from where Matt got the 17x9 size, tirerack seems doens't have them, only 17x8. Fitting a 245 wich is my goal in a 8 wide rim, the tire could look bit goofy no? Or maybe if if it's 35 tall it won't look ugly.

Now, I'm not sure what ET should I get in 17x8 or 17x9 for my especific suspension/car setup. Maybe 40et is the way to go to be in the safe side.

        Moar opinions!?:D

i dont think the tire would look goofy.

when i saw the 17x9's on tire rack, it was about a year ago. if they aren't there anymore i'm not sure what to tell you.

as for the offset, 5mm is hardly any difference. you might have 5mm more lip on the lower offset wheel.

Buy the TRM MT1-R, lightweight and look better in my opinion. And only like $249 in 17 x 9.

Hmmm for my car I'm not sure if the TRM MT1-R are the way to go?
