nokian Hakkapeliitta 2

Its 36 degrees and wet snow here so I started looking @ winter tires. Local tire shop has both nokian Hakkapeliitta 2 ($69 out the door) or general altimax ($66 out the door). I've heard plenty of good things about the nokians but just wanted to hear from other e30 drivers. Tire size will be 185/70 r14 on my stock weaves. I wanted to go 195/65 r14 but can't seem to find many tires in that size (tirerack, discount tire etc) Thanks

I had nokian's on my ix back in like '93 for a few seasons. They ROCKED!!!
idk about the 2's though no experience with them.
185's are fine, actually probably better for a snow tire anyway.

I have the altimax's on my winter beater, not a BMW, and they are pretty good in the winter. But for the price difference, go Nokian, they are a great winter tire.

hakkas no question. or blizzaks a very close 2nd.

great price for the hakka's. a little taller/185 width is also good. the extra height will help with snow clearance under the car.

number for your local tire shop? I need to get a set of snows for my car and my brothers car and that price on the nokians is awesome.
