    Re-Drilling Throwing Stars

Hey guys I have the set of throwing stars from my E34 M5 that I just had some fresh tires put on before my accident, was thinking of re-drilling them to a 4x100 so I could fit them on my 325es. I was going to just sell them but the idiots mounting the tires scratched them and the solution they used some how stained my clearcoat so i cant get the money there worth because of the surface appearence, so I fidgured I love the wheels why not throw them on my E30. Would this even be possible ? Ive seen guys that did it to other 5x120 patterns, just wondering if I could do it to.

How much would you want for them? and you would have to check with a machine shop. They would have to fill and drill them but the pattern might be to close together to do that.

Have you checked out the 4x100 - 5x120 adapters in group buy section ?

Adapters push them out to far, the smallest you can get are 20mm right ? The offset for them is 20mm already. 17x8 with 245 up front and 17x9 in back with 255.

Yep. Adaptec has them at 18mm. You can make em fit, youre just going to have to work for it. Fender rolling, a little stretch and negative camber and youre set

How much stretch we talking about ? Cause Im building a turbo M20 right now with a 60 trim wheel for around 450 whp, I dont want to give myself traction issues.

wel being as the fronts an 8 you wouldnt have a very big tire on there. Have you thought about fender flares?

I was thinking the fronts for a 225 which would slightly stretch and then at least a 245 on the back which would stretch a liitle but not much. I had a 245 on the rears by accident before and they stretched like crazy cause of the small sidewall.

you could probably stuff 235/40 under the fenders for the 9" and 225/40 for the 8"

235 is to small for what I want to run.

a 225 is not really going to stretch at all on an 8. And at a final et of 8 you cant expect huge rubber. Theres a changce if you really work your fenders, and arent too low you might stuff it. Either 5lug swap, stretch, or flares. Youre only hope for the rear is that you have high arches. Ask mystikal in the fitment thread, get his 2 cents on what would be best. And not all flares look bad

Im not saying all flares look bad, just that I dont want it chessy looking is all. I was hoping to fit the throwing stars, but if i cany then Ill just have to sell them for what I can to fund the wheels for the E30, which would most likely be a Keskin KT1 17 staggered setup.
