    Will these wheels fit?

Looking at some wheels for my car. My car came with 15x7 ET25 wheels I believe. The wheels that I am looking at have an offset of 30. Will they fit or are they likely to hit the strut. Do the numbers represent a five millimeter difference.

i hate to be the bearer of bad news, but your car will explode if you put these wheels on.

the wheels will fit fine, and yes the offset is expressed in millimeters.

what is the width and diameter of the wheel in question?

We cannot answer your question without this info.

          15x6.5et30 will fit just fine

15x7et30 will fit fine, but wider tires will rub the strut up front

15x8 et30 will need spacers to clear the strut

The larger the diameter of the wheel the more strut clearance you have due to the inward angle of the strut.
