    American racing style wheels?

This will probably get me a lot of HATE but please keep reading...

I have no idea how this forum feels about certain wheels from American Racing but some of them, to me, seem like they would fit the style of an E30.

    For example:

or even these (if they weren't chrome)

    oh... maybe these

In a nut shell, I love this style (preferably the first example). The basketweaves on my car currently look awesome but my car is a total beater... I want wheels to match. I doubt the above examples will fit and be light.

So r3vlimited; is there wheels that are very similar and will fit and be light?

    Love,
Guy that actually asked about American Racing wheels

I like some of American Racing wheels also. But those first ones belong on a dirt track car, the seconed ones belong on a truck and the third belong on any pre 1972 muscle car.

The dirt track looking ones some people on here have them on thier e30, but i cant remember who makes them.

depends on size. plus 10.00 per wheels for 4x100 and 10.00 per wheel for powder coating.

There's nothing "racing" about them except wide width sizes. Just look at the weights. And steel wheels bend more easily than alloys. I don't see what's the real attraction to these except price. Just my $.02...

Um, I never had any problem with any of my steelies bending. I have hit some serious pot holes with them. I have had them on my car's for the past 3 years. Weight? Lets put it like this. My one steelie 16x10 with a 215/45 tire was 46.8 lbs. My 16x7.5 borbet T with a 195/45 was 48lbs. So I dont think there is much to bitch about.

The weight is not great but not horrendous. Those wheels look fucking sick and would look awesome on the e30, imo.

Thanks for the link to the diamond racing website. Way good find!

isn't there a problem with running these on an e30 since our cars are hubcentric? how do you get these suckers centered? wheel studs?

Yes, Wheel studs. These wheels are lug centric. I have had 3 sets, been running diamond wheels for like 2 years now with no trouble at all.
