    studded vs. studless

    what do you guys prefer and why, pros cons and such, experiences with both

    I use studs just to make wheel swaps easier/faster. AFAIK that's the only benefit, could be wrong.

      anyone else? there a guy here selling a set of Falken eurowinter h404 tires that are studded for 75bucks, i'm probably going to pick these up then if there's no difference between studded and studless

        for me studs are the only thing that really bite into ice, which we get a lot of around here, more then snow, but I hate the sound of studded tires

          Don't go on group drives with studded tires. That's all I've got to say.

            Bah ha ha ha you're dumb.

            Tony, studless is the way to go. Studs do nothing but tear up the roads. A good studless tire will do just fine.

              Studless are really better on anything but glare ice, which we never get in OR anyway. On loose, packed, heavy, light, or any kind of snow, studless work better. Not to mention they don't fuck up the roads and don't make that nasty, nasty noise.
