    help with tire sizes

    hello, I want to run the following but am having a hard time finding the right tire sizes;

    Rear: 16"x9", +20, yields 228.6mm tire width, what is the widest tire I can go in the rear on this wheel without rubbing?

    Front: 16"x7.5" +15, yields 190.5mm tire width, same question, how wide can I go?

    I've searched and couldn't find an explanation on how much I can stretch tires on a rim, or if you can fit a wider tire on a rim like this...

    Happy Veteran's day.

    Sure you can fit wider rubber to the rim than the rim itself is. There's a quide for accepted tire sizes on the 'net..

    The rim isn't the problem with tire width, but the car's body.

    Those rims fit nicely with 225/40 in the back and 205/45 to the front. Some spacers might be needed to clear inner side..

      it really depends how low your car is. it will look dumb if you have undersized tires and a huge fender gap.
