I'm about to paint my wheels over winter and would like it to be a quality finish. I've used ceramic paints on engine parts, and when cured right, they have a great finish. Does anyone know of a similar paint type to the ceramic, that requires curing, and that can be done at home?
Who makes quality wheel paints?

My mechanic highly recommended Wurth to me also. It is supposedly the factory color for BMW wheels. You can get it on: http://www.pelicanparts.com'91 318is

PPG dupont.... take it somewhere if you want it to look real nice.... brake slag makes wurth paints chip (i have heard) and the if you take it somewhere else they use high temp clear coat, and bake it on at 170 and that makes the new surface glossy and very hard.... also costs about $150 a wheelComment

What if the ceramic engine paints were used, and cured onto the wheel? I've cured these paints on intakes, as well as valve covers and with a good clear coat, I'd bet they'd almost look powdercoated.Driving is the only way to go faster....Comment

If you go on DTM New England, Rim Pro is the place to go if you are going to get it professionally done. They are some good guys, and they will straigten, refinish or do anything for your rims. They are kinda expensive though, but well worth it. Plus they have some nice BMWs!Comment
