    Azenis 615 for cheap

I know this is old news, and forgive me if it's been re-posted a million times, but I did not find anything with the search function.

Discouttiredirect is offering an $80 rebate on any set of 4 615's. Considering that they are cheap already, it comes out to $184 shipped (after mail-in rebate) for the 195-60-14 that fits on bottlecaps or weaves.

These used to be the hot autocross tire a few years ago, and they're still awesome for general driving around as long as you live in the desert like me and never deal with snow, ice, or rain. Good for autocross if you want to play for half price and don't mind obsolete tires.

    Here's the link:

Discount Tire Direct is retiring, but check out our partners at Tire Rack! With tires and wheels for virtually every vehicle make and model, Tire Rack is your new source for the best prices and selection for online and mail-order purchases.

I wonder if Falken is going to come out with a new extreme performance tire replacement?

i almost just got these a few days ago, but the non dry traction is bad and the treadwear is half that of the ziex's i went with..

that rebate is damned tempting though.

treadwear is half because they are 2x as good in dry ;)

they are OK in rain as long as they aren't worn out/bald. I put 22k on my last set, DD all year and 1 season of autocross. They just get really iffy in rain as they get close to being done...

I'm pretty sure that no UHP tire is good in rain. I think some have better hydroplaning resistance than others by tread design, but wet traction is severely compromised for the UHP tires I've run.

Yeah, They know the tire is getting long in the tooth so sales have been slipping so now it's time for a new tire.

Nice. Wonder how long this deal's gonna last. I'd pick up another set just because but I've already got a set of wheels/tires just sitting in my room.

I'm interested to see how well the 615K performs (and yes, the tread design).
