BimmerBoy is that you? I thought you went over to Salisbury for school? My friends going to SU this semester, looks pretty sweet.

Anyway, my friend Mike has an 87 325e with only 120k original miles. BUT the paint is completely ruined, it was never waxed in all 18 years of its life. It needs a complete paint job, were thinking Estoril would be really hot, and then he needs some budget 16" rims for the time being. Where did you get your car painted? He's being quoted at $2,500 for the full paint job at the moment (without engine bay and door jams).

Hey you're in Maryland? Awesome. I need to see your restortation project as it continues. I'll be putting alot of man hours into my car sometime next year, 2006.

I'm in Frederick. Let me know if you need any parts, I could help you out. Where are you located?

Ah, sweet! Yea I talked to you about the Throwing Stars over PM yesterday, had no idea you were in MD. Might have to get my friend Mike and come up to Frederick to take a look at those wheels. I am located in Owings Mills, my friend Mike is in Baltimore City. I own a Boston Green 94 325i with M kit and the works, maybe you've seen me around the MD section of Bimmerforums?

As of right now the cars first priority is a paint job and the body shop said there are no open slots until Spring. So I guess were waiting until Spring. It will be painted Estoril. That is going to run him ~$2500. He is also trying to find an M-Tech body kit, but can't find any under $900. The paint job is already pushing his budget, but a body kit is a must.

Thanks for the offer! If anyone wants to do Mike a favor, and knows someone in the paint business, that could do a side job in the MD area, let me know! Hopefull for cheaper than $2500... then he'd have more mod money :D

The guy that painted my car is John Hopkins down in Salisbury. charged me 1500 (needed some body work)and then I bought the paint. Paint ran me 500 for a gallon of PPG both base and clear (there was plenty left over for accidents), plus it's a metallic color, estorial would be a little less. I can give you the number on AIM. He does alot of work in town so you would want to call him a few months before you actually want to get it done. He will have the car for a month give or take a week.
