    15" or 16"

I have a 88 325 s50 swapped car on IE St3 springs and it is used for autocross mainly and some track days....anywho... I have been pretty set on getting some trmotorsport c1s in 15x8 and running hankook RS3s in a 225-45-15, but recently I have though about running 16s. Any input on 15" vs 16" for this setup??? Thanks

      I'd just go to 17"

      Much better tire selection.

I'm looking to about as wide as I can fit. What's a good/some what economical wheel in 17 or 16 that is 8+ wide?

              Get 17x7.5/8" with some 235/40's.

That is what i was leaning towards. What's a good wheel in that size? (4x100)

Now that there are several top-tier autocross tires made in 225-45-15, my vote goes to 15X8 wheels, like the $104 Tire Rack jobbies. To my mind, the only reason to up your wheel diameter is if you're upgrading your brakes and need the space.

Off the top of my head, the BBS LM reps are pretty affordable.

Your cornering grip will be brain-scrambling, esp if you build some negative camber into your front suspension, say with the Turner fixed camber plates for $150 or so. As far as looks, that's a matter of taste. The nice thing about the TRM ones is they are direct fit (someone correct me if that's wrong). Better looking IMHO but requiring spacers and hub rings are the panasport-clone Rota RB's in 15X8, color=gunmetal. Still less than $150/wheel shipped, and wicked good looking, esp on euro-bumper cars.

Your original idea is by far the best return for the money, IMO.
