Where did all of the performance tires go in this size? It looks like it's becoming extinct. What is my next best choice?

Hmmm thanks there's a few more options there, do you know what tires they are?Comment

Interesting, thanks for the suggestions. This is my daily driver in the summer so I'm a little iffy on R compounds, but I suppose it's still an option. I'm leaning towards these Yoko S.drives at the moment as the best of my limited options. Hoping a flood of new models doesn't come out after I order though.Comment

Won't happen, at least not in this size. Do expect to see more 225/45/15s I think.Interesting, thanks for the suggestions. Just go for a nice 205/50/15 or 225/45/15 (but I'd only recommend these on an 8" wide wheel)Need parts now? Need them cheap? steve@blunttech.com

Thanks guys, ordered the Z1 Star Spec in 195/55/R15. Overall diameter is a bit smaller than stock but nothing too horrible. Z1 doesn't come in 225/50/R15.
205/50/R15 was nearly 4% off, which is just too much.Comment

You ordered them?
On the tire calculator they are slightly smaller diameter. And from the pics of them installed they are quick meaty.. 205/50 are just tiny and will not look good unless the car is really low.
Are the tires for the euroweaves?

Between the eta's and the I's there were two different "stock" sizes on the e30 with that much difference between the two. 4% is nothing. 3mph difference at highway speeds? I think bmw speedos are off that much anyways, you might actually make the speedometer more accurate!Comment
