Someone experienced with the tire game please...

I want to pick up some new tires soon and I'm stuck between two options...

My old set-up was (conti sport contact) 205/50/16 all around with my 16x7 and 16x8. I hated how the front didn't have any stretch and back had a slight stretch. Here's what it looked like.

I want to go to a slightly smaller tire all around and even out the stretch.

I needed tires bad in the rear from camber wear last month so i just threw some free 205/55's on... which look like shit.

I'm thinking about goin with the 512's since their generally smaller anyway and have the rim protector that i like.

    I'm stuck between two sizes

195/40 for the front and 195/45 for the rear... but since i'm only on springs and not slammed i dunno if that will look good.

205/40 and 205/45 is the other choose that i'm leaning towards right now.

Anyone have pics of this exact set-up... 16x7,8 with (falken 512) 205/40 and 205/45

I did a lot of searchin btw but the angles weren't what i was looking for.

Your problem is that you are running staggered width wheels and even width tires. Messing with the profile size won't help that at all.

Your rear tires should have 20mm more width than the fronts if you want the stretch to be even.

I'd recommend 195/50 fronts and 215/45 rears. You don't want to go with any smaller of a profile than that as you will start to regain fender gap. Falken 512's are your best chance of getting any stretch out of them.

Go on wheel whore and check out stretch. Also type in goggle the tire size and you should find some pics of them tires on your size wheels.. for your wheels, since your not slammed. I would run a 195/45 front 195/50 rear. But do some search. You will find what your after.

Don't run staggered next time but with those sizes I'd run 195 front and 205 rear. Not sure what profile you should run though as you are not slammed.

I like the staggered look on e30s. I realize this car isn't slammed so i'm not going too small on tire sizes. I'm lookin at 195/45 and 205/50.
