Haha well me neither! And yes they are potenzas. I mounted those wheels on my 89 with h&r sports and low arches and I had almost 2 inches of wheel gap, on my stock weaves with 195/60/14 tires I have only an inch of wheel gap. The side wall definitely makes a difference.Comment

To pull off a 45 on a 16 inch wheel your going to need some ground controls and short konis.. You should look into a 205/50 tire.. Even with that your going to have some gap.
This is my buddys. 205/50 on a 16x7.5 running H&R springs with no spring pads.

Even with one coil off the front of the IE3's? I'm already on Konis, I don't know how short they are tho.
Those have to be H&R sports in that pic, my car is way lower than that. That car is towering in the rear, and even before taking a coil off the fronts, I had less fender gap in the front than that with my Remembers on 205/50's.Comment

I wouldn't go 205/40s if I were you. I'm still thinking 205/45 should be alright, but you'll have some gap I'm guessing. Throw a pic up of your side profile, that should show you how far off the ground you currently are and help out.
And I agree, car above looks sorta high.Originally posted by z31maniacI just hate everyone.
No need for discretion.Comment

I'm not really concerned with having NO fender gap, I'm fine with a little bit, as long as it's even front to back, and my fitment is good.
I think I'm going to go with 205/45, I've had 205/50 on a few different sets of 16's, and it's always been just a little more sidewall height than I liked.Comment

dude, 205/40 is a no-no unless you want to be like a hair off the ground.Comment
