Be careful about nabbing the fender lip with a 225 and a relatively low front suspension. Even with 30mm offset wheels and 225 ES100's...I ate up my front fender lips from daily driving. On the inside, there wasn't much tire/strut clearence...1/8" maybe

Someone locally is running 225/50/15 T1-S's on Ronals. His fenders are not rolled and there is only a bit of rubbing in the front at full lock.
Whoa, I have hope again. I think it was Jon325i who mentioned that someone tried T1-S' and they rubbed, on the strut side.

I got to see a tire-less LS in the flesh yesterday at the Toronto Autoshow (Tireworks on Shawson, right by my office). They are fucking light!!! List was 225 CAD each but the guy said he can do much better if I drop by after the show. I'm hoping for $125 a wheel!!

        Keep it slideways!!

Yeah, the guys at Tireworks are cool. Do you know where Protech is? That's the shop I was dynoing at 2 weeks ago, good guys. Right along Shawson in that area.

Also, PM me if/when you buy them and let me know how much you grabbed them for.

For sure jay. I"m going after the show to find out how much they are so I can start hassling all the peeps that owe me money. I might just end up getting ES100's, but I would prefer 215 toyos over 225 yokos.

                  225s? hehehehe
sorry that was an utterly useless post

stu, if you're pulling fender lips w/ 225s then your suspension is too soft and/or your tires are too tall ;)

bryce, that was with GC 375/475 spring rates and 225/50/15 es100's. lips got pulled when wheel was at partial lock and going over a hump (driveways and shit). Be careful bout them driveways.

then again...my chassis is tweaked all to hell...that could be part of the problem.

it makes a bit more sense now stu, I did the same thing when I had 225/45/17 and 500/650s normal driving and even 45 degree throttle steering didn't damage the lips, but a driveway can kill them easily

has anyone successfully fitted 235's on the rear?

I've got 225/50/15 Falken Ziek 512. Lots of grip but very soft side walls.
