    Correct way to measure lips/shells.

I am new to the multi-piece thing, so I want to make sure I am correctly measuring things. What is the official measure of this lip and from what point does the measurement come from?

To measure a lip. You measure from the back side of the part that bolts to the wheel to the inside part where the tire sits.
So if you have a wheel lip and its a total of 3 inches wide. its only a 2.5 inch lip. If you have a wheel lip thats 4 inches wide, its only 3.5 inches wide.
So if you have a 8 inch wide wheel with 2 inch lips the face should be .5 inches. The lip will be 1.5 inches and the back barrel will be 6 inches. But the overall wheel size is 9 inches wide.
Im pretty sure thats how its done.
