    What wheels are these?

They look like bbs rs but my friend said it doesnt say bbs on them. They are on an old 6 series at the junkyard. He said he's picking them up. Any ideas?

BBS would definitely say their name in in the center area of the rim.

Whatever they are, they're probably worth picking up. What's the size/offset? It should be printed somewhere.

Are the 390's the fake 3 piece ones?

the 20 bolt lips and barrels are old racing stuff as well as the centers, i know that bbs made some lips and barrels for them, comp-motive i think, the lips i seen for the racing wheels looked substandard for the roads, the barrels were super thin like 3/16in,

hell get em rock them.... haters gona hate

he means 390mm TRX version, which I don't remember American Racing Equipment making in that odd size.

OP, those are definately ARE 398 or the Enkei variant.... I'm old, and used to sell those brand new back in the early 90's.

Is your friend prepared to wrestle that locking lug bolt off with the right tool for the job??

so these ARE wheels are the 390 version that have subpar quality lips?

no, a 390mm wheel will wear a METRIC diameter tire vs. a 'normal' 16 INCH wheel will wear a 205/55/16 or 225/50/16 (e23,e24/e28 application) INCH tire.

It has nothing to do with subpar lip construction.

You guys do know that the lips and barrels are welded together on the ARE's?
