BBS RS - will these fit??

    Specs: 5x114.3 16x7 +45

I don't mind redrilling them to 4x100 but is the starting offset any good for an E30? I'd like to run them as is for a few months and then widen them to 16x8.5 and 16x9.5 eventually (if at all possible). I don't want to deal with spacers or anything of the sort.

Well, I'd like to end up in that approx offset after widening them but was wondering if starting off at the above offset would even fit to begin with (clear calipers and whatnot).

Even if they'd look a little funny at the current setting, it's only a matter of pushing them out a bit with some wider lips.

I'm looking at a great deal with some clean RS's for about $450 locally so I don't want to pass it up!

They would be perfect for adapters, but you say you want nothing to do with that.

with just a redrill et45 is a bit high on 7" wide wheel as has been said. my concern would be the inner clearance.

if you widened to 8.5 the offset would be et26.

              9.5 would be et13.

adding wider lips won't change your inner clearance obviously, but i think regardless of what you did you'd need to at least put some 10mm spacers up front. you might get away with nothing in the rear. i run 9.5 et9 in the rear and there's not a ton of clearance...you'd have about 5mm less.

Thanks fellas, a wealth of info so far...so I can buy adapters that would make them 4x100 from the 5x114.3? I would probably consider this as a temporary option.

Any links to said adapters at a good price before I dive into Google?

Any pics of your E30 with that wheel fitment you described, LedJetta?

PM E30Rob, he can make you a set of adapters customized to fit your needs.

Thanks Chad. I'll have to consider all options, as I was quoted $350 to fill and redrill them locally (without haggling on price either so I'm sure I can talk it down some). Good to know that some quality adapters are available though. This 4x100 situation is a curse, I tell you!

Well, I tried on the wheels and they don't clear the caliper up front. I'd prob have to run 10-15mm spacers to get them on...didn't even bother checking the rear.

I'd just like to avoid spacers at all costs - not worth spending 1.5k on something that doesn't bolt right up IMO.

$350 is a lot to redrill wheels, I had mine done locally for $120 with the steel inserts and everything.. Not to mention that's cheaper than any adapters I've ever seen.

You will not clear your struts with those ifnyou redrill them. My wheels started out as 7 et 50 and I have to run a 12mm spacer and it just barely clears the strut, maybe the thickness of a credit card between. So with et 45 yoiu would need at least 7mm spacers in the front, the rear will work without spacers.

Thanks for the info man...everything is like 3x more money in Miami. It would prob make sense for me to haul the wheels up there next time I go visit family in Orlando and use your guy. Maybe I'll give the seller a ring...I think he hasn't sold them yet.
