    Tyre Sizes yay :D

okay so i decided not to go the sportmax route you will be happy to hear, and pulled the trigger on some 16x7.5 Et25 rims (yet to be revealed :P)

What i want to know is, will 225/45s fit without rolling gaurds? 225/40? wanting the widest tyre i can on there. If neither of those will work what about 215/40 or 215/45.

Suspension factors that impact on this include H&R Cups (1.7" drop R, 2.1" drop front + a bit possibly because of M52), adjustable camber plates in the front, and M3 offset CABs.

Edit just checked the shed and my other rims are 16x7.5 Et25 as well and they run 205/50/16s. The rear fit fine, but the front used to rub fender on full lock and upward suspension travel (ie pulling into a driveway) So would i be correct in thinking that any 16" wheel less than 8 inches wide is going to rub to some degree? That was on King superlows and blown shocks when i had them on though, so maybe it was just because of that that the car rebounded more than it should and caused the tyre to hit?

roll your fenders a lot and run 225/45 or 225/40 for the most rubber.

Is that just the front or the back as well?

I run a 225/40/17 front and back on H&R sport springs and Blistein sport struts/shocks (e36 M3 stuff up front...) and I don't have any issues with the tires rubbing anywhere except for the inside frame rails on the front at close to full lock when turning.

Yeh have heard of going a 225 on 17" wheels, but there isnt much tyre wall to work with luckily. 16s arent so forgivving in that regard.
