ken oath, I'd love to see them with another inch of dish... would love to do 16x8.5 with 225/45/16 tyres... but it's all big money :(
16x8" will be around ET12...hard to pull off, unless you want "euro stretch" and flared fenders. Which is still hot...

Nah, wouldn't be that hard with a bit of guard work and a lick of paint. 225s on an 8 inch rim aren't really stretched either.

I'll take your word for it, I'd like to do this eventually too. Jake can chime in with more details, that is, if he's not sipping gin and grapefruit....

iirc, Jake's rear ET25 17x7s were widened to 17x8 ET12.5 (one inch added to outer lip.) He had 215/40/17 tyres on it but had rubbing issues, even with rolled guards. Actually it's probably a good thing they were rubbing else the Simmons would have died in his roll :(

So yeah you'd need some severe rolling to get things to fit, which is why I'm thinking a quick respray might be needed...

What wheels do you have atm?

yeah, 17x8 et12.5ish. and yeas, they rubbed. but, they were a 'wide' 215, which, by eyeball, looked more like a 225. the rubbing wasnt that bad after i worked my magic with the trusty guard roller. with a bit more rolling, i reckon i coulda got rid of it all together. i guess we shalle see with the new car.

Hartge makes beautiful wheels. Excellent. The price for those tires is insane, more than double would kill me. Nonetheless it looks awsome.
