    fitting wheels legally

ok guys i have a problem with fitting my new ESM 008's i have bought 9's in the rear and will have tyers fitted this week sometime, but my rims stick out from the guards roughly about 1cm, which is illegal in AUST. I called a guard rolling buisness and he told me that BMW's usually have a harder guard to roll and he wasn't sure weather or not he could pump the guard out far enough so that the wheels fits under the guards. I've seen 16x9 on other peoples e30's on here and they dont stick out from the guards, question is, how?

    thanks.

    picture to ilistrate.

Whats the offset? They should clear fine once there is load on the suspension and they camber in a bit

The guards can be rolled/pulled some, I've seen it done just takes a little time to get the fender edge to pull out...

Having rolled several E30 rear wheel arches, both early and late, imma say this: You will be doing bodywork to get that to fit.

10mm is tough, 20mm like you want/need will be a bitch. When I say bitch, I am NOT fucking kidding. Not being big headed, but I am about the strongest person I know, physically. My hands will not fit in a 4" hole at fucking all...so when I have a hard time doing some shit like this physically...trust me, it is a bitch.

I'm not to sure of the offset, i think it might be et10 rear. And its full stock suspension. So once the tyers are on and suspension takes the load it'll stick out less?

Once load is placed, they will pull inside on the top a bit as its a stock setup. Might just be enough. I can fit 9s on my car no problem and I still have room with stock arches in back. (early model) My late model I cut the rear arches, never pulled or rolled them, and they cleared too.

lol well see i wont be doing it because i dont have the time nor know how, Im asking a professional to do it.

He told me that BMW's rears are exceptionally hard but he will try his best.

But he definitely wont need 20mm of pull, as others have said once he has preloaded the suspension and put the wheel on the ground it should tuck in a decent amount, of if he needs any pull it shouldn't be much...

Tell me the jackstands are under the trailing arms somewhere near the axle...your suspension isn't drooping, right?

no my jack stand is where it is supposted to be, at the end of the side skirt, there is a special place where it is supposed to sit. just before the start of the wheel arch.

Oh fuck....so now, get your arse under there and put the jackstands somewhere basically under the hub and THEN show us the fitment issue.
