Has anybody here done business with SG motoring? While they can´t even pretend to be in the same league of other manufacturers out there, their selection of wheels appears decent, and prices (including shipping charges) are great. Not to mention their eBay ratings & feedback is flawless. Since there´s no feedback for them in that section, I´m throwing this out there. Feel free to comment.

yeah, I gathered that much. Now, if there´s a reason why no one buys from them, I´d like to know it rather than bash on them only because they sell for less.
Do they look horrid? Are there fitment or manufacturing issues? Do they bend or crack just by drivin on a not-so-smooth surface? Has anybody here actually bought from them (pics plz)?1998 528i auto on staggered DSIIComment

Sportmax wheels look and fit "strange". ;-)Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.

I´m Ok with rolling my fenders. I wanted to do it anyway. And, yes, if I buy from them I´m pretty sure it would be the 002´s, but 16" x 8 (keyword: if).
They have no negative feedback and only 4 neutral feedback in the last 12 months. I´m almost glad everybody here can afford original alpinas so they don´t have to lower the bar and buy sportmax.Last edited by Gadea; 07-21-2010, 09:38 PM.1998 528i auto on staggered DSIIComment

got any pics of them on your car, Jason? I was inclined to the 513 at first but then I ended up digging the 002´s more. Offset is 0 on both, though. According to them it WILL stick out a little. Did you want less or more offset?1998 528i auto on staggered DSIIComment

Yeah, they only offered the 16 x 8's in a 0 offset if I remember correctly; I was looking for et15 in that size. 16 x 7 didn't turn out too bad, though.
These are older cell pics, I'm not much of a photographer...:)

The only thing that put me off was the fact that they are uni-lug, but since the wheels are black it's not as noticeable. All in all, I like these just fine until a 5-lug swap happens.JasonComment

that didn't turn bad AT ALL. I wouldn't choose the higher offset, but that's just me. I really like what you did with the car. What side skirts are those? And the modded front bumper and rolled fenders go very well together, IMO. Nice.1998 528i auto on staggered DSIIComment

Thanks, I've put a lot of time into this one for sure. :) The kit is the full BBS set: one-piece front and rear bumper, fender flares, and skirts. A friend of mine saw it on a cabrio at the junkyard and gave me a call; around $200 later, it was mine. It was a serious bitch prepping, painting, installing and aligning all of the pieces, though...
The problem now is that the flares kind of made even the 16's look a bit undersized, so that's why a 5-lug with 17's is in the future. I will miss the wheels, though........I've never thought Sportmax looked bad at all, and expensive wheels just make your car more appealing to thieves (a problem around where I live).JasonComment
