your opinion please on AutoX/track tires.

Ok, This is a must for street too but your opinions please.

Eather way rim will be a TRMotorsport C1

    15X7
    205/50/15 Kumho ECSTA XS

    combine weight of 32.6lbs

    Or

    15X8
    225/50/15 Yokohama AVS ES100

    combine weight of 36.8lbs

Basicly, the 225/50 choices are very limited and the tires is not as good as the Kumho.

So, the light and sticky set up

    Or the widder is better!?

Well, I rather like the ES100s, but some folks here think I'm a moron for it.

I can say that 205mm ES100s are miles better than 215mm all seasons, so it really comes down to the tire.

You should consider running 225/45R15 tires. They're around the same rolling diameter as 205/50R15, and there are nice extreme performance tire options in that size. In 225/45R15, you can get Toyo R1R or Hankook R-S3.

Yeah, put me in the "ES100's are crap" camp. I considered Star Specs since we have them on one of our MINI's and I love 'em, but the desire for width won out and I'll be going with 225/45-15 RS3's.

I did TRMC1 15x8 and Toyo R888 225x45. So far, this combo has been a real winner on the track. The tires are not ideal for AutoX though, but were still a VAST improvement over the allseasons I used to run.
