Need a reputable source for Wheel Locks- Yes I searched !

    Hey folks,

I am looking for a hard to remove set of wheel locks for my E30 vert. Not those standard cookie cutter looking pieces of crap that BBS make. I need some like the Bav Auto style or something that thieves will have a tough time with. Problem with the BAV Autos is that in the front I will be running a 5 mm spacer to accomodate the rims I am mounting and the Bav folks say that the wheel lock lug bolts are too short to work with the 5 mm spacers and safetly mount the rims. 5 mm does not seem like much , but it must be as they say they wont work. I could always buy a set and use 2 for the rears (as they wont have spacers) -

Whats my best option and who can I buy a real good set from > Any ideas?

I am in the same boat as you are. How about the factory wheel locks from an E36?

Perhaps. Wonder if they will accomodate the longer wheel bolts in the front?

I have some brand new gorilla locks that I never installed, they're good for 10mm spacers, take them to a machine shop and grind them down for 5mm spacers if needed, btw most wheel locks will just deter or slow down a would be thief, if they want your wheels bad enough, they'll get them.

I just picked up a set of the newer style no-key locks from my BMW parts source a few days ago. Good shit I tells ya.

And a stock lock with a 5mm spacer will hold just fine. Just don't run 4 bolts that are the stock length.

I have a set of bolts with locks on them. Let me know if you still want them I'll dig them up and take a pic.

Snap-on and Mac sell wheel lock remover tools.

I find rusted/rounded nuts that were hammered on with an impact gun harder to remove.

go ahead, use 4 different wheel locks, ur only wasting ur own time.

Thanks for all the replies. I ended up going with a set of Gorilla locks that are longer to accomodate the 5mm spacers in front. Worked real well!
