Wide rims on an e30

Looking at fitting some 17x8 and 17x9's to my e30, late model. Are they gonna fit? And what sort of tyre size should i be running? Have access to an angle grinder n hammer...

Will be fitted with m3 suspension setup..

It's not just the width of the wheel you need to look at , but the ET too. The rear on the E30 is very forgiving. Even 9.5 will work back there, but it is the front strut housing that you need to worry about. The front is the issue.

as i found out with my current e36 rims.. 9mm spacers n its still tight with the strut.. Least it aint rubbing now :roll:
