    4x100 to 5x120 adapters (e30rob)

For those of you who bought the overlapping adapters from e30rob, what is the exact way to install these things? I understand that the overlapping nut is not supposed to be torque'd, but when I'm putting in my stock lugs back in, it actually deformed my stock lug when putting it into the overlapping nut (almost stripped my stock lugs as i was tightening it). Can anyone show me how its done properly? and did you guys receive 4 more stock lugs to run the 5-lug rims on the adapters or do i have to buy those myself?

any help will be appreciated. thanks.

the only sizes that these overlapping spacers come in is 20mm and 25mm. so basically really high et wheels maybe 40ish or something like that? im not sure as i just got into the e30 scene.

You can get them down to 15mm, but that is the thinnest. Not sure how to install them, but I plan on getting some in 5x114.3 so I can run my old Audi wheels

I have these adapters, and if you're damaging the threads on the lug bolts when you're putting them in, you're either cross-threading them, or you have lug bolts with bad threads. Is it just the lug bolts going into the overlap nut that are having problems?

You'd better check and make sure you didn't tear up the threads inside the overlap nut. And yes, you will have to buy the additional lug bolts on your own.

Yea, its the overlapping nut. First of all, I don't have the overlapping nut tightened down all the way, so when I try to put in my stock lugs into the overlapping nut, it doesn't go in all the way either, not flush with the rim, like the other lug nuts. In addition, it also made my stock lug a little crooked (probably because the overlapping nut wasn't tight so it was trying to turn at the same time while I was tightening the stock lugs onto it?)...

You'll need to get shorter lug bolts of the overlap nut, or cut your existing ones down.

You need to have the overlap nut as close to flush with the rest of the adapter as possible, without being higher than the rest of it. A tiny bit sunken is fine. Then you need to mount the wheel with the other 4 lug bolts, and leave the overlap nut and the lug bolt for it for last.

Ok thanks. I'll keep that in mind, and try again soon. Hopefully it'll come out fine haha.
