    Offset for wheels?

I'm looking to get new wheels and tires for my (new) 1987 S52. I'm getting different answers from dealers locally and on websites regarding the offsets. Some say 20-29 will only fit, some say 38-40 will fit. What say you guys? Thanks.

offset is related to width. a 17x6 et40 would fit just fine, but a 17x7.5 et40 would need a 15-20mm spacer to clear the strut. :)

Take a look around here and see what other people are running. My track wheels are 15x8 et20 and fit just about perfect for me.

Check this thread out...there's many combinations that can and won't work but I'm sure it has all been covered before in here.
