    Fitti Resto

I am in the process of refinishing a set of 15x7 Fittipaldi's for my '87. Here are some before pics. I dropped these off to get striped of chrome today:)

Covered in dust from kicking around my shop:

Took them home and wiped them down:

I am not a fan of chrome really. These are actually starting to pit in the corners. You can't see it in these pics but I will post more pics that are on my phone later tonight. I will also post pics of the progress on them. They said they would be done tomorrow.

I have a color in mind for them but I would also like to hear some recommendations. What looks good red coupes?

Here are some pics of the pitting on them:

And here is where they are right now

I thought about coating them white for a bit but I don't think white would go with the car :???:

The rest of the wheel is there as well. :)

Also, from the sound of things, he's getting the chrome taken off.

Wow, those wheels were in way better shape than mine were. A light silver powdercoat will look awesome, but black would go well with the red car too. I don't think the black would show the rims off as much though.
The difference between porcupines and BMWs is that porcupines have the pricks on the outside!

Here is a pic of one of the wheels stripped:

They also did a pretty good job of removing the 20 probable years of road grime:

They don't look too much different at this point because they are still nickel plated, but I am told I can coat over the nickel. I am concerned with the pitting still. Mainly on the wheel that I posted crappy close up of earlier. I'm afraid it will look like dirt in the coating. Anyone here do powder coating and can offer some advice? I will try to get better pics soon.
